Course Summary

The programme is designed to provide students with an intellectually stimulating learning environment aiming at equipping and developing their competencies in the field of Human Resource Management (HRM).
The curriculum incorporates the latest HR trends and solutions, allowing students to master new skills and knowledge and transfer their capabilities into their jobs and workplaces. Students will have an opportunity to develop competencies, which can enable them to support and develop their current/future workplaces to thrive through the ever-changing world of work contributing thereby to social and economic development.
This MSc Human Resource Management programme is also professionally accredited by the Chartered
Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). On successful completion, students will automatically gain associate level of CIPD professional membership, which will entitle graduates to use ‘Associate CIPD’ after their names.

The MSc in Human Resource Management prepares students to become professionals with specialised expertise in effectively leading and managing personnelin modern organisations. The programme is designed for individuals who work in a range of organisational settings (HR generalists/ specialists); freelancers (HRDA trainers; individual coaching; workplace mediators); and bachelor graduates.

Assessment Method

Modules are assessed through Examination, Themed Group Conversation, Business or Management research project, Group Poster, Reflective essay and Portfolio.

1. In case you still do not have your School leaving certificate (for Undergraduates) or your Bachelor degree (for Postgraduates) you can provide the latest mark sheet you have and a conditional offer letter will be issued to secure your place at the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus.

Once the University has received all the above required documents via email along with the application fee, the UCLan Cyprus Admissions Department will proceed with an official evaluation and if the application is successful, will issue a Conditional/Unconditional Offer Letter stating the terms & conditions of your admission for the programme you are applying for.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT – VISA MATTERS
International students, who require a visa to enter Cyprus, upon acceptance of their offer letter must submit directly to the University all necessary requested documentation within the deadlines that will be provided. The University of Central Lancashire Cyprus Admissions Department will submit the Visa Application on their behalf and guide them further on the visa application process.

Application deadline

The calendar is arranged so that students may start classes either during the last week of September or the first week of February. Candidates may submit an application for admission in any of the semesters. Due to the fact that formalities for the issue of an entry visa take at least 6 weeks, candidates are urged to file an application at least 8 weeks prior to the expected date of enrolment. Students are expected to be on campus prior to the beginning of the intended semester/session. In response to arising need, courses could be provided within the summer period.

  3. Students whose native language is English or those who have completed their High School education in English or Bachelor from a UK University, need to provide appropriate evidence, and the Admissions Department will advise them of their eligibility accordingly.
  4. International Students who will require a student visa must provide an official English language qualification, or they can take the University’s English Admissions test (Password). The only exemption allowed is if they are nationals of UK, Ireland, USA, Canada (only if the language of teaching on High School or University is English), Australia or New Zealand.
Take the UCLan Cyprus English Language Admissions Test.
We now offer the online Password English test, which is an internationally recognised English Language University Admissions test created by researchers involved in the development and validation of Language assessments such as IELTS and Cambridge suite.
The Password Knowledge test will test your Reading, Vocabulary, Grammar and Writing and you will be awarded a CEFR-aligned level certificate specifying a score between 3.0 and 7.0 and above. The test can be taken online or at the UCLan Cyprus campus.
You can take the test whether you are a prospective student or not, and you can use your certificate and grade for proof of your English Language Level either at entry at English universities or institutes or at a job application. Please contact us for more information.
In order to take the test, you need to inform our Admissions Office at admissions@uclancyprus.ac.cy or at 24694139 who will guide you on how the test works online, when you can take it, how you can prepare for it, and any steps you need to take in advance.
The Password Test fee is €45.

English language requirements

Certified Proof of English Language knowledge to a score of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Fees and funding

Application Fees
€8,925 for the entire programme (90 ECTS) after the discount of €1,575 UCLan Cyprus Bursary from the original fee of €10,500.

Additional Fee information

STUDENTS FEES UNTIL REGISTRATION:
  1. Application Fee: €50 > Applicable to Locals/EU and International Students. Non-Refundable.
  2. Visa Application Fee & Alien Book fee: €210 > Applicable to those who will apply for a Entry Permit. Non-Refundable.
  3. Deposit/Registration fee: (a) for Locals/EU€1200 >, (b) €3000  before the Entry Permit is issued & €2000 after the Entry Permit is issued. > for non-EU.
  4. Student Pass: €60 for both UG and PG students payable together with the Registration Fee (not applicable for DL students). For UG students this is payable every year of their study. Non-Refundable.
VISA RENEWAL FEES TO OTHER AUTHORITIES:
For the renewal of the entry permit and the issuance of the Temporary Residence Permit (Pink Slip), these are the charges payable to other Authorities or Medical Centres:
  1. Student Temporary Residence Permit: €70 ( yearly)
  2. Medical Insurance: €130 ( yearly)
  3. Medical tests (blood tests & x-ray): €65 (once off)
Other Fees
International Commercial Mediation Module under LLM programmes: additional €350 per student.
Graduation Fee: A €50 graduation fee is payable by every graduand participating in the graduation ceremony.
Retake of a Module: €600 for every module that needs to be retaken.
APL Module Evaluation Fee: After start of Academic Year, €100 per module evaluation request, regardless of the decision (non-refundable).
Copy of Degree or Transcript: Additional official copy of (final) transcript = €5 per set. Certified Copy of Degree: €10 per set.
Distance Learning Exam Fee: For physical exams, the University will indicate the nearest exam centre to your location in case you cannot come at the University campus. In case you will need to be accommodated to an exam centre/location and not at the University campus, then a Fee per Exam might be charged.
