About us

The Private Institute "LYSIPPOS" was founded in 2017 and is approved by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. Our institute specializes in Economic Education subjects such as Accounting, Mathematics, and Economics.

Our inspiration comes from the statue of Kairos, created by the ancient Greek sculptor Lysippos. In Greek mythology, Kairos represented the favorable moment, the opportunity. "Kairos," with bent knees, wings on his back and ankles, runs while holding a scale supported by the razor's edge, signifying how easily the balance of things can be disturbed. His long hair falls to the side and front, leaving his skull bare, because if one does not seize an opportunity by the hair when it passes by, it is lost forever.

Marianna Hadjipericleous

Owner of the institute and accounting teacher. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Certified Internal Auditor, and holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). She has a long professional career in both the public and private sectors in financial management. Since 2014, alongside her professional practice, she has been involved in teaching accounting.

Orthodoxia Messaritou Mathematics teacher

She is a high school graduate with honors and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has certifications in computer literacy (ECDL) and Pedagogical and Didactic Competence. During high school, she participated in activities such as the eTwinning Program, Junior Achievement Cyprus, Ark of Inquiry program, and served as a "School-Ambassador" of the European Parliament for 2016-17.
