"Satirical Theater presents the Cypriot comedy by Michalis Pitsillides,

'The State of Ttofallos', directed by Vasilis Michael.

The story of the play takes place in a very small village, Klonari, in the 1960s. The village, neglected by the government, tries to find its justice. Led by Ttofallous, the Klonarites protest to satisfy their demands. When they see that nobody takes them seriously, Ttofallos decides they must create their own state. He declares himself president and, along with the First Lady and his ministers, begins to plan the future of 'Klonarko.' However, due to their irrational decisions, the economy starts deteriorating, and the residents prepare to revolt. That's when Ttofallos, with his unshakeable confidence as an infallible ruler, convinces them that their problems will only be solved if they declare war on the neighboring village...

The award-winning and beloved writer Michalis Pitsillides, through his clever and entertaining texts, captured Cypriot dramaturgy, depicting either autobiographical events or moments from the everyday life of Cypriot society.

In 'The State of Ttofallos,' he constructs a play filled with humor, lively characters, and juicy comedic scenes, aiming to highlight bitter truths about our greed, megalomania, and blind obedience to the utopian proposals and harmful practices of power in solving significant problems.
