About us

The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), founded in 2010 by the consolidation of Kaunas University of Medicine and the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy, is Lithuania's top biomedical study university. Its origin dating back to the Faculty of Medicine of Vytautas Magnus University in 1922, LSMU has grown into a full-fledged university with medical and veterinary sciences.

Our mission is to produce, synthesize, and spread scientific knowledge and the newest scholarly accomplishments.

We aim to cultivate innovative, honest, and entrepreneurial talent, promote a healthy and learned society, and serve the economic and cultural progress of the country.
